Buying a Basenji – but not at any cost
If you’re only looking for a cheap Basenji, you won’t find it here. We’re not a platform, not an online shop, and definitely not a marketplace. Our dogs are family members – not products.
Our breeding philosophy is built on responsibility, respect, and a genuine connection to the breed. Yes, we know there are Basenjis available in Southeast Europe at much lower prices. But if you compare fairly, it quickly becomes clear: this is not a real comparison.
In Germany, the standards are different. Health screenings, club requirements, veterinary care – all of this is time-consuming and, since the GOT reform, significantly more expensive. What is considered basic and required here is often not even discussed abroad.
What we absolutely do not accept: people who come to us for detailed advice, meet our dogs, then use everything they learned here to buy a Basenji abroad. And later, when the dog gets sick or the “breeder” is unreachable, they show up at our door.
That’s not how we work. Our time, our dogs, and our dedication deserve respect. If you’re only focused on finding the lowest price, this isn’t the right place for you.
But if you’re looking for a loyal companion to share your life with, and you’re serious about buying a Basenji from a breeder who prioritizes health, ethics, and long-term relationships – we’d love to get to know you.

We meet in person at our home in Krailling to get to know each other.
If it feels right for both sides, we invite you for a second visit at the racetrack to see the dogs in action.
Once everything fits, you’ll receive regular updates during pregnancy and birth. Further visits are always welcome.
