Hey there, dear friends,
The puppies are finally here! To answer the most frequently asked question of the last four days and to put everyone’s minds at ease 😊. It’s been quite a whirlwind at the Majstor’s…
The Night Begins
It all started at 2 AM on Friday. Our brave Bisou showed the first signs of labor. A quick midnight walk was supposed to help, but I was worried: who could I possibly ask for help at this hour? It was too early to wake up my friends. But just after we got back home, I received a message from Sabine, of course offering her assistance. What a relief!
The Beginning of Labor
After everything was set up, the real adventure began at 5:15 AM with the first contractions. Sabine was with us via a 4.5-hour video call, giving us crucial instructions. By 5:40 AM, the magical moment arrived: the first puppy, an adorable red and white girl, was born. The emotions were overwhelming.
Drama on the Sidewalk
But the tension didn’t end there. While waiting for puppy number two, I decided to take Bisou out again to help the labor along. Suddenly, everything happened very quickly, and right there on the sidewalk, the birth continued. With the leash in one hand and the still-being-born puppy in the other, Bisou cut the umbilical cord herself—pure chaos! Thanks to my Apple Watch, I could quickly call for help. Vasi arrived immediately, and together we brought Bisou and the little newcomer safely back home.
A Critical Moment at Home
Back at home, we helped Bisou with the complete birth of the second puppy, which was finally finished by 8:45 AM. The little girl was initially blue and motionless, but with Sabine’s guidance, we managed to save her life. The relief was indescribable.
The Third Challenge
The wait for puppy number three was just as dramatic. Despite all our efforts, no further contractions started, and around noon, we decided to head to the hospital. An ultrasound revealed that puppy number three was in critical condition. An immediate emergency C-section was necessary.
Worry & Relief
There we were in the car, hungry, with two puppies in a box, the baby in the car seat, not knowing how to kill the time. After 1.5 hours of uncertainty, the long-awaited news finally arrived at 2:30 PM: mother and puppy were safe and sound. You can imagine the rollercoaster of emotions we went through and the joy that spread with this happy ending.
Gratitude and Joy
At this point, a huge thank you to the entire team at Oberhaching Clinic—thank you so much 🤍.
Finally, we were united, our first two girls immediately ate in the car, and we admired the third red and white power girl. Once home, we had to process the day and those 14 hours of labor. We are grateful that everything turned out well and didn’t end differently.
Thank you to everyone who helped us, who gave us tips and advised us on what to do. But above all, thank you, Sabine, for your tireless support, for your calm words in stressful situations, for your encouraging words in tough moments, for all this and much more—simply for everything. A thousand thanks 😘.
